From September 2016, the new project “Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Georgian Local Self-Governments in Improved Fiscal Discipline and Accounting Systems” took start. Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC) is a partner of project implementer American company Cardno. Project is ordered by Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and financed by World Bank.

Summer Camp

On the 3rd of August, 2016 within the frame of the Community Development Initiative(CDI) project, which is initiated and funded by BP and its co-venturers in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and, South Caucasian Pipeline (SCP) companies, 20 pupils  from Rustavi #10 and #28 public Schools were taken to Bakuriani to participate in summer camp  Initsiatori. The summer camp was initiated by CDI project implemented partner Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC) within the youth development component and implemented by SIQA-Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives.

Greenhouse Vocational Training

Within the fifth phase of Community Development Initiative project initiated and funded by BP and its co-venturers in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and, South Caucasian Pipeline (SCP) companies, Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC) initiated greenhouse vocational training. Vocation training need has been identified during monitoring visit when one of the beneficiary has expressed desire to acquire deeper knowledge in greenhouse farming to deal easily with the challenges.

Review of the 2015 achievements of the “Small Business Development Project 2”

The grant competition for startup entrepreneurs was announced in early August 2015. Within the frames of the competition door-to-door visits were carried out and community meetings were held with the population concerned. At the beginning of September 534 applications were submitted in total from 60 target villages.

The applications were considered by the selection committee with participation of the invited agricultural expert. As a consequence 167 people were selected for participation in the business planning training.

CDI Project Fifth Phase Activities Overview

From June 2015, Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC) had successfully launched fifth phase of "Community Development Initiative“ project, which is initiated and funded by BP and its co-venturers in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and, South Caucasian Pipeline (SCP) companies.

The project is implementing in 62 communities of Gardabani, Marneuli, Tetritskaro and Tsalka municipalities and 18th and 19th districts of city Rustavi along East part of pipelines route.

BP pipelines along living local population promotion project entered a new phase

After 12 years of success "Community Development Initiative" had launched its new 5th phase. The program is initiated and funded by BP and its co-venturers in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and, South Caucasian Pipeline (SCP) companies.

The project’s 5th phase goals are to strengthen previous 4 phases’ results and continue promotion of the local population living in the target villages of East and West part of the BTC and SCP pipelines.

Demonstration farms

Increasing the agriculture production is one of the most preeminent ways to increase the economic opportunities of village population. By setting up new and/or improved technologies in demonstration plots, the project is striving to develop necessary skills and knowledge of farmers in order to produce better production.

Poladaantkari road rehabilitation project

In 2008, as a result of Russia - Georgia war in Tskhinvali, Roland Zubashvili was forced to relocate to village Poladaantkari, Gardabani district. Adaptation process of the new domicile did not seem favorable for the family; along with everyday difficulties, they hardly managed to get along with the new environment. Transportation problems made the existing severe conditions more complex.
